day, Without A Paddle owner Sharon Turek came home from
her office job and told her husband that she wanted to open a gift
shop in Bridgewater. His reply was, "Go ahead, and if you don't
make it, you'll be up a creek without a paddle." In March of
1997, Sharon opened the original shop about a block away, until moving
